How to detect whether a cable has wrong polarity?

1. Measure the cable with the multimeter in voltage mode.

2. Use the red pen (+) to touch the cylinder inside the DC port, and use the black pen (-) to touch the edge of the DC port.

3. If the multimeter displays a negative voltage, it means that the DC-C cable is defective.
