OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1.Turn unit on with adjustment knob.
2.Wait until the wait light goes of and ready light comes on,approximately 10 seconds
3.Hold tester with right hand so that your fingers are resting on the rear metal plate and your other hand must hold the metal holding the gem stone or the metal test plate.
4.Lightly touch the probe tip in the center of the gem stone.(Approximately 250mg ofpressuer)Hold tester perpendicular to the table of the gem for one second.
5.If it's a simulation or non-diamond , nothing will happen,If it's a diamond .the buzzer will ring and the green light(diamond) will come on for about 6 seconds. If it's a moissanite the tone will change and the light will switch from green to blue(moissanite) within 1/2 second
6.After the buzzer is first heard , you must continue to test for one second before you take the probe off the gem stone, this is because the test for diamond is done first. The test for moissanite is completed 1/2 second later.
7.If the tone changes while you are removing the probe, you must retest because you may have contacted the metal findings whileremoving the probe.
8.To save the battery, turn off the unit after testing . if you forget, the tester will remind you to do so in three minutes.
9.If the yellow ready light flashes or will not come on, you need to replace the 9V battery alkali batteries are recommended
